With over two decades of global marketing leadership and a lifelong passion for design, Zori founded Schmidt Derby to bring precision, style and warmth to every home project. A Derby resident for more than ten years (COYR!), she offers hands‑on attention to detail, unwavering personal commitment, and exceptional service in line with the core values of her business: Integrity, Loyalty and Care. Outside the showroom, Zori shares her life with her partner David, their children Daniel (15) and Max (6), and their cheeky dog Rocket, ensuring that family values remain at the heart of everything she does.
Lee Robert May
Lee brings over 24 years of expertise in kitchen and interior design, underpinned by exceptional communication and project management skills. His friendly, solutions-oriented approach ensures a seamless journey from initial concept to final installation. Adept at budget planning, contractor coordination and CAD-based layouts, Lee consistently delivers high standards of craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
Michael Olowo-Ofayoku
Michael holds a BA (Hons) in Architecture and leverages a rich background working with some of the UK’s best known kitchen brands. His expertise in 3D CAD visualisation and spatial planning allows him to translate client aspirations into stunning, practical designs. Known for his calm demeanour and attentive listening, Michael ensures each project is executed with precision, creativity and a genuine understanding of individual lifestyles.
Rocket
Probably the most well-travelled dog you’ll ever meet, Rocket is our beloved showroom mascot and a mini‑celebrity on Instagram and beyond. He greets every friendly visitor with boundless enthusiasm and a wagging tail. Whether you’re here for a design consultation or simply exploring, Rocket is always ready to make your visit extra special.
